Usher Syndrome Foundation is an organisation of and by people suffering from Usher Syndrome supported by family, friends and partners. After all, we are the ones with the story and the experience. This makes us strong and visible. With this positive power of people suffering from Usher Syndrome we distinguish ourselves from other charitable organisations.
We are a small foundation with high ambitions.
· Acquire donors and funds for scientific research into prevention, recovery or treatment of Usher Syndrome and for a better quality of life and well-being!
· Make User Syndrome more widely known by establishing a knowledge platform. We want to inform people and their social environments, making sure that all knowledge available can broadly circulate through the network.
· At the international level set up a European and international Usher Syndrome network.
Our method of working may sometimes be contrary and unorthodox, but this also is our strength!
The Usher Syndrome Foundation does not receive any government support and is entirely dependent on donations and gifts from funds, private persons and companies. The executive committee works completely without pay and keeps the organisational costs as low as possible. Your donation will always be put to good use.
Friends of Usher
We can do nothing without the commitment of our network! The support of our friends and partners, donors, funds and volunteers enable us to finance the scientific research into Usher Syndrome. We are grateful to our partners and donors for this. Apart from this, the Usher Syndrome Foundation keeps looking for partnerships with private persons and organisations to stimulate research into Usher Syndrome and to join knowledge and information for people suffering from Usher Syndrome and their social environments.
