About 1000 people in the Netherlands suffer from Usher Syndrome. Imagine 1000 people starting a bottle deposit campaign in their neighbourhoods. If every person approaches 4 supermarkets, average 1000 € per person will be collected.
1000×1000 = 1 million! This is the ultimate example of large thinking and small action!
PARTICIPATE IN AN EVENT
You can also participate in one of our events! For example, joint the Run4Usher team or do the Dam to Dam walk.
The events ’40 van Breda’ and the ‘Wateringse Veldloopfestijn’ in The Hague are also committed to our foundation.

MEET USHIE
USHIE, our mascot with black sunglasses and headset, is the symbol of all people who cannot hear and see well because of Usher Syndrome.
USHIE is genderless, cool and lively!
COME INTO ACTION AS A SCHOOL
As a school or pupil you can do a lot for Stichting Ushersyndroom. For example, you can organise a ‘short trousers campaign’ or a school project about Usher Syndrome or craft Usher glasses together.
CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY
Is your birthday or wedding coming up soon? Invite family and friends for a party and ask them to make a donation to Stichting Ushersyndroom instead of buying you a present.
RECYCLE FOR THE GOOD CAUSE
You can add to our research funds with your empty cartridges, empty bottles and old mobile phones. Small action, big result!
