COME INTO ACTION AS A SCHOOL

As a school or pupil you can do a lot for Stichting Ushersyndroom. For example, you can organise a sponsor campaign or give a presentation about Usher Syndrome. As a teacher you may want to give a lesson about Usher Syndrome.

Pupils of various schools all through the Netherlands regularly organise campaigns for us. We are very grateful to these schools and their pupils for all the support they give us!

START A CAMPAIGN

Does your school want to start a campaign for Stichting Ushersyndroom? Register your campaign in our campaign platform. Here you can very easily collect money and see if you are approaching your target amount.

Ideas for a nice campaign:

  • A sportive activity, varying from walking and biking to belly sliding or playing chess!
  • A jumble sale or an auction.
  • A musical, talent scouting or any other show.
  • Sell cookies, doughnut balls, cakes.
  • Collect empty bottles.
  • Cut hair, have yourself sponsored per half inch.

LUCA’S SHORT TROUSERS CAMPAIGN

Go to school in short trousers in mid-winter. Pupils and teachers of De Wieken in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, did it!

One of the pupils organised this humorous campaign: the Luca-short-trousers-campaign. Pupils and teachers came to school wearing short trousers in the week before Christmas. With this the pupils collected money for the Usher Syndrome Foundation.

We love the Luca-short-trousers-campaign! Of course, it would be fantastic if this humorous campaign would spread unchecked across many schools. This would make Usher Syndrome better known and raise more funding for research into a treatment for this rare disorder.

PRESENTATION OR PAPER

A lot of pupils give presentations or write papers about Usher Syndrome. Have you written a paper which you want to share with us? Good! We will publish your paper on this page and this will probably inspire other children!
